Presenting…Scarlett O‘Hara! Actress Vivien Leigh is beautifully portrayed as she appeared in the movie Gone With the Wind in the famous and shocking green dress she wore to the barbeque at Twelve Oaks. Walter Plunkett’s costumes contributed an added dimension to the film. The green print dress was especially memorable. Its billowing skirt and ribbon-trimmed, ruffled neckline, set off by a green velvet sash around her tiny waist, enhanced her girlish beauty, while the large leghorn hat framed her face to perfection. (Ladies…don’t you want to try that dress on just once?) Scarlett was acquired at an estate sale of an avid doll collector. I was told she was not displayed. That may not be the case as looks like she was removed to examine and probably more, since her stand was unwrapped and there was no packing around her legs. There are approximately 5 or 6 tiny spots on her gown. (see close-up picture for details) These are not readily noticeable, and in my opinion, do not detract from her beauty or her display-ability. Still, she looks beautiful. Scarlett comes in her original box, also in great condition. Included is her display stand, Certificate of Authenticity and Information card, and a Bonus large color tri-folded advertisement for Scarlett from Franklin Heirloom Dolls. This advertisement did not originally come with the doll and is a unique “extra” addition to your collection! There is no hang tag. Speaking of “extras.” Included, free, is a sturdy, gold-framed movie-style poster of Gone With the Wind. A smaller reproduction of the original movie poster, in a deluxe gold frame!
