This little chap (or should that be lass?) is battered, threadbare, engaging and was once much loved. She was also, once, a bright deep girly pink colour - which you can still see from a sort of overall tone (her plush is almost worn away) and remaining brilliant pink bits still visible on joints and the insides of her ears. I found her languishing in the south of England and I think her colouring, and overall style probably dates her to the 1930s, but I don't know her make. Chad Valley made pink teds, and she does have that look about her, as well as claws, and overall shape, but her nose isn't quite right. However, she could have lost some horizontal stitches on top of the 'V' shape, which might fit in with the possibility of her being an early Chad. If somebody knows better, do let me know and I'll post it on here. She is small and was once a very classy bear. Still is really, in spite of the damage. She is fully jointed, and firmly stuffed, not soft at all - wood wool probably. She has a growler, which has sunk into her tummy, and is protruding a bit! She has three stitched claws on paws and feet, a very slight suggestion of a hump, neat little ears, one small remaining eye (she has lost one at some time) an engaging, and very Chad like mouth, and quite elegantly shaped arms and legs. She needs quite a bit of TLC - there's a hole in one foot, another on her back, and she has been crudely stitched in one or two places. But with all that, she is a bear of great personality - and as I said - something of a rarity. I've had a red white and blue bear before, but never a pink one of this age. Please can you give her a home?
